16 May 2019 - Nairobi (Kenya), 16 May 2019 – A high-level regional Conference on Justice and Good Governance in the Great Lakes region was convened in Nairobi, Kenya from 13 to15 May 2019 by the International Conference on the Great Lakes Region (ICGLR), the Office of the Special Envoy of the UN Secretary General for the Great Lakes Region (O/SESG-GL), and the UN Office of the High Commissioner on Human Rights (OHCHR).

10 Aug 2018 - Nairobi (KENYA), 10 August 2018 – The Office of the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General for the Great Lakes region, the International Conference on the Great Lakes Region (ICGLR) and the African Union (AU), through their respective platforms and forums on women, and UN-Women, are undertaking joint solidarity missions to Burundi from 9–12 August, the Central African Republic from 13–15 August and the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) from 16–19 August.

11 Apr 2018 - The members of the Security Council met on 10 April 2018 to discuss the situation in the Great lakes region, five years after the signature of the Peace, Security and Cooperation (PSC) Framework for the Democratic Republic of the Congo and the Region. They were briefed by Mr Said Djinnit, Special envoy of the Secretary General for the Great Lakes, and Amb. Raymond Serge BALE, permanent representative of the Republic of Congo, as chair of the PSC Framework Regional Oversight Mechanism.

27 Feb 2018 - Addis Ababa (Ethiopia), 27 February 2018 – On the occasion of the fifth anniversary of the signing of the Peace, Security and Cooperation Framework (PSCF) for the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and the region, stakeholders and experts met in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, on 26-27 February, to review progress in the implementation of the agreement, and make recommendations on the way forward.

23 Feb 2018 - Nairobi, 23 February 2018 - The Advisory Board of the Women’s Platform for the Peace, Security and Cooperation (PSC) Framework for the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and the region met in Nairobi, Kenya, on 22 February 2018, to agree on concrete actions to promote women’s political engagement in peace and security, as well as in political processes at local, national, and regional levels in the Great Lakes region.
