SESG Djinnit Commends South Africa's Commitment to Peace and Security in the Great Lakes Region, Encourages Country to Help Catalyze Greater Regional Cooperation

Pretoria, 12 September 2014 - Special Envoy Said Djinnit completed a two-day visit to South Africa, as part of his first tour of signatory countries of the Peace, Security and Cooperation (PSC) Framework for the DRC and the region. The Special Envoy met with Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, Ms. Maite Nkoana-Mashabane, Minister of Defence and Military Veterans, Ms. Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula, and Minister of State Security, Mr. David Mahlobo.
