"The Guarantor institutions commend the signatory countries for the progress so far achieved in the implementation of their commitments, and welcome the decision to revitalize the PSC Framework, as requested by the AU Peace and Security Council during the meeting at the level of Heads of State and Government on 17 February 2023 and approved by Heads of State of signatory countries during the 11th high-level meeting of the Regional Oversight Mechanism, held on 6 May 2023 in Bujumbura, Burundi. The PSC Framework remains an important vehicle for breaking the recurring cycles of violence in the region and for advancing a sustainable peace agenda."
