The Special Envoy of the Secretary-General for the Great Lakes region of Africa, Said Djinnit, and his staff mark a moment of silence in solidary with the People of Syria.
Nairobi (Kenya), 15 March 2017 - The Office of the Special Envoy of the United Nations Secretary-General for the Great Lakes region in Africa today marked a moment of silence in solidarity with the Syrian people who are suffering as a result of the six-year-old war in the country. Special Envoy Said Djinnit and his staff stood at 12:00 (noon) in the Nairobi office to observe the moment.
