TRIPOLI — On the 5th anniversary of the signature of Ceasefire Agreement on 23 October 2020, UNSMIL commends the Libyan parties for their commitment to the Ceasefire Agreement and expresses its appreciation for the 5+5 Joint Military Commission (JMC) and its subcommittees for their dedication and commitment to serving the Libyan people. UNSMIL reiterates its commitment to continue working with the 5+5 JMC and its subcommittees to sustain the implementation of the ceasefire agreement and advance the political process with the goal of achieving lasting peace and stability in Libya.
